Faux Wood Wall Decor
This project was so easy and makes my office feel so much cozier! We used vinyl self-adhesive faux wood flooring as the backdrop and a wall decor piece from Hobby Lobby as the center piece. Here are the few simple steps:
- We purchased one box of Traffic Master Self-Adhesive Vinyl Plank from Home Depot. We used the color “walnut ember java.”
- My husband has his own graphic design business, so before we put it up on the wall, he played around with some layouts and we planned our wall around the trial photo he made.
- We did a little measuring to make sure it would be in the center of our wall, peeled off the paper from the back of the planks, and stuck them to the wall. Yep- you read that right- NO NAILS OR SCREWS
- Now, we did have to drill some holes at this point to hang the art piece. The faux wood can be cut easily (we cut down some pieces with a razor knife for our design), so it was easy to drill in the holes. We also had to use an anchor because of the weight of the art piece and lack of a stud on one side.
Our final product turned out great!!
